Welcome to our new CEO

Around Bayley

When one door closes, another opens…

After five years leading Bayley House, Warwick Cavanagh set off into his retirement years with many a fabulous send off.

In true Bayley style, the farewell procession culminated in a time honoured tradition – community singing in the Bayley House hall attended by as many people that would fit.  This included representatives from the Bayley Birds, Family and Friends and many people from across our staff team. Thank you, Warwick. We wish you well for your next adventure.

Stepping into the lead is Deb Stuart, who is already navigating her way smoothly around Bayley House. After many years in the sector and most recently leading Central Bayside Community Health Services as CEO, we are all looking forward to Deb leading Bayley House into this next era. Safe to say she has already passed the hardest test and that is the question of ‘Who do you barrack for?’ It’s Melbourne by the way.

It was wonderful to have Deb with us at the recent opening night of Bayley Arts. This was the perfect way for Deb to be introduced to Bayley House and the wider community of supporters. With less than 50 days under her belt at the time of this article, it already feels as though Deb has been part of the Bayley fabric for many years.

You can learn more about Deb in the episode of the Bayley Babble, where she tackled some of the hardest questions she has ever faced in her career!
