Bayley House Board Directors
A committee member since 2018, John joined the board on 1 April 2020 as Chair. An experienced director and volunteer, he recently chaired a disability service provider through its transition to NDIS and is an active mentor in the not-for-profit sector. He brings a commercial focus from a long career with a global management consulting firm and is passionate about strengthening relationships between the commercial and not-for-profit sectors. John is the step-father of a Bayley House client.
Jude has widespread professional experience in governance, risk management and business development. She joined the Board in 2013 and was elected Deputy Chair in June 2015. Jude has a strong background in social innovation and community investment, with global expertise, experience and networks. She is a trusted mentor and strategist to senior leaders in business, governments and not-for-profit organisations.
Gillian was co-opted to the Board in July 2019. She is a results driven professional with 22 years senior executive experience developing public service and commercial organisation through leadership of culture and change including development and implementation initiatives, business reviews and corporate strategies; and management of performance, risk and project teams.
Elected to the Board in October 2012, Paul is the parent of a son with a disability. As an experienced architect, Paul has operated his practice for over 35 years and specialises in design for disability. He is passionate about creating positive outcomes for people with a disability. Paul has experience in governance in both the public and community sectors.
Jeff joined the Board in November 2020 and has been a committee member since 2014. He has over 30 years’ experience as a tax advisor and commentator in strategically managing the tax affairs of many large and complex organisations that operate in a wide range of industry sectors in Australia and oversea. Jeff had previously been a Board member of the Bayley House Foundation and has a sister-in-law who is a long standing client at Bayley House.
Lucy joined the Board in October 2013 following her long involvement with Bayley House. Lucy has a brother with a disability. She has over 15 years’ experience in the public health sector and 20 years in the disability services industry. Lucy is passionate about patient/client outcomes, process improvement and healthcare delivery. She is currently Senior Advisor, Allied Health and Support Workforce at Monash Health.
Leanne joined the Board in May 2020. She is an experienced CEO and non-executive director, consumer advocate and data-driven leader inspiring innovation which adds value at Board, operational and consumer-facing levels. Currently, the CEO of Crohn’s & Colitis Australia her executive career has involved leading change and transformative growth in not-for-profit organisations in health, health professional regulation, disability and community sectors. She has been a non-executive director of 15 companies and chair of 4. Her son, Elliot is a client at Bayley House and he attends the day centre.
David Calver is a step-father to a Bayley House client and is a Bayley House volunteer. David has operated two companies for some 30 years and brings this experience which encompasses building and construction management and quantity surveying, including administration and compliance.
