After extremely successful trial weekends in 2022, we are excited to share the launch of our Short Term Accommodation activity weekends!
Bayley House has two specifically designed respite houses that can each accommodate five guests. Over the coming months, exciting activities will be on offer during selected stays. These activities are designed to support you to learn new social skills as you get out and about in the community and also meet new people who may be staying at the same time you are.
Our STA activity weekends provide the perfect opportunity for you to try something new in a supported, safe way. Why not buddy up with your friends and book a weekend together?
How does this work?
Activities will run across both houses, where possible and commence on a Friday afternoon once you arrive. Any key activity dates will be listed in the description below.
Activities coming up:
|February||Friday 3||Kicking off with a Friday Fish & Chip dinner, then spend the rest of the week exploring our local Bayside spots including the famous Brighton Beach boxes.|
|February||Friday 10||Sights and sounds of Melbourne. Join us on Saturday 11 for a visit to the NGV, Sunday 12 at Gasworks Arts Park and Wednesday 15 at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl MSO Sounds of Melbourne Mosaics.|
|February||Friday 17||Explore the great outdoors with us: Saturday 18 at Karkarook Park, Sunday 19 for a picnic in Caulfield Park and Wednesday 22 for the Queen Victoria Night Markets|
|February||Friday 24||Melbourne I love you! Explore the best of Melbourne beginning with Melbourne Museum on Saturday 25, MCG tour and Melbourne Sports Museum on Sunday 26.|

Will the activities run across both houses?
Wherever possible activities will run from both Lonsdale Avenue and Asling St
What if I do not want to join a particular activity but want to book in at that time?
We fully support choice and control at Bayley House so no one is made to participate in any activities. Alternate activities will be offered.
Will day to day activities like walks or going for a coffee still occur?
Certainly, we wish to engage our clients in all types of daily activities which will still go ahead.
How does this contribute to reaching my NDIS goals?
Many NDIS participants have goals in their plans such as accessing the community, building social connections, developing independence. These activities are designed to work towards achieving your goals.
Will you still be offering Life Skills Programs during my stay?
Yes the Life Skills Program is designed around individual needs to we are able to still work towards the program while participating in a range of activities that are on offer.
How long does it take until I can use STA?
Please allow a minimum of three weeks to complete the intake process
Do you have vacancies?
Yes we currently have vacancies at both of our STA house however activities fill fast so get in quick!
