This group of artists had many discussions around what connection meant to them. Cooking, food and shared meals came up as a very strong theme in these discussions. This group also cooks together every Friday to make and share a meal together. The implements you see in this paintings are kitchen utensils that the artists use to make their meals. They selected them, placed them on the canvas in an arrangement they liked and then traced around them to then produce their painting.
