The biggest hit of the Summer

In the Community

The stage, or more to the point, the pitch was set on a humid summer evening in Melbourne as the Bayley Bushrangers once again faced off against the Elsternwick Eels.

This match is a long held tradition that began many years ago and has grown in popularity with more and more involvement each year. Anticipation for this match begins to build very early in the year as the Bushrangers start their intense training program of lunchtime matches.

While the weather may have favoured the Eels, the rain did not stop us or dampen our spirits. Our Bayley Bushrangers out batted, out bowled and out played the Elsternwick Eels to once again take the victory! What a fantastic night with clients, family and friends coming together to support the event and join the fun.

Some highlights of the night included Maddie having a ball on the pitch, a great display of fielding by David who managed to catch out an Eel, Sam running out a player with his sharp on target throwing, and Captain Ed keeping a close eye on the score which was a very believable 651 to 2 runs! What can we say? Batting is clearly our strength. The sausage sizzle was almost as much of a hit as the epic run tally on the scoreboard.

A big thank you to the Elsternwick CC for holding this wonderful annual event and thank you to all staff, families and clients who joined in!
