Make Your Mark. A Celebration of Bold Expression at Bayley Arts
23 June, 2025
Bayley Arts was proud to present Make Your Mark, a vibrant group exhibition celebrating the talented abstract artists Gavin Moore, Alexis Monito, Michelle Aparo, Robyn Doherty, Brodie Horsey, John Pook, Mark Cuce, Soknann Tham, Sally Tran, Maryann Walker, Colette Boyd-Eedle, and Elizabeth Nicolaou of Bayley Arts.
The opening night was a fantastic celebration of creativity, community, and colour, bringing together friends, families, and supporters to honour the work of this incredible group of artists.
The exhibition showcased artists who have each developed a distinctive abstract style through bold mark making, expressive layering, and thoughtful use of pattern and colour. The works were raw, unfiltered, and full of energy offering a powerful glimpse into each artist’s way of seeing and engaging with the world.
There was plenty to celebrate on the night. Congratulations to all the exhibiting artists whose work attracted plenty of admiration. The night also saw the launch of ‘Blue Squares’, a limited edition canvas print of Gavin’s work, framed in a beautiful floating oak frame. This striking piece is part of a new initiative to support Bayley Artists through high quality reproductions, with Gavin earning a commission from each sale. View the artwork and purchase here.
Thank you to Lachlan, who worked his second paid shift as part of the Bayley Arts hospitality team, an exciting and well-earned milestone. Thanks to all the staff who helped behind the scenes or came along to celebrate.
A special thank you to professional musicians Elise Felsbourg and Rachel Moshel for their live music performance, which added a beautiful energy to the night.
Make Your Mark is a powerful reminder of the ability of art to connect, communicate, and celebrate individuality.
It was a very successful exhibition with many of the artists selling their artwork. The works artwork will be on exhibition again at the end of the year at the Bayside City Council buildings in Sandringham.
