Health Screening Information Sessions

Around Bayley

As part of our Health Literacy programs, we have partnered with health professionals to bring free clinics to clients within the Bayley House community who wish to take part.

International and Australian data indicates that screening participation is lower across breast, cervical and bowel screening programs for people with disability, with most studies focusing on people with intellectual disability. As part of our Health Literacy programs, we have partnered with health professionals to bring free clinics to clients within the Bayley House community who wish to take part.

Health education sessions are designed to help build understanding, reduce anxiety, and give people the chance to ask questions at their own pace, with the support of Bayley House staff if they choose.

We hope families will see these sessions as an opportunity to build confidence and knowledge around important health topics.
