Biccy’s Op Shop: A Brighton Treasure Making a Big Impact

Fundraising

Have you have ever stumbled across the one-of-a-kind gem at Biccy’s Opportunity Shop in Brighton? Behind the racks of incredible clothes and shelves of well-loved books is something even more valuable; a community with a big heart.

Biccy’s has been a proud supporter of Bayley House for over five decades. Through their generous annual donations and incredible volunteer efforts, they have helped us deliver high-quality, engaging programs for the people we support. Their generosity has a direct impact, boosting opportunities for adults with intellectual disability to thrive, learn, and connect.

Biccy’s doesn’t just support us through donations though, they also generously partner with our Community Engagement program. Each week, Nicole visits the shop to volunteer. She spends time folding clothes, sorting donations and keeping the shelves neat and inviting. This is a meaningful opportunity that builds confidence and connection and it is a partnership we are incredibly proud of.

Biccy’s is a reminder that when people come together, small actions such as donating your pre-loved clothing or giving a few hours to volunteer – can make a big difference.

If you have quality clothing or homewares looking for a second life, consider dropping them to Biccy’s. You will not only be helping the environment and supporting a wonderful op shop but you will also be backing programs that build inclusion and independence for people with disability.

Thank you Biccy’s for everything you do.
