News & Events

For a number of years now, iPads have been an integral part of daily programs for clients at Bayley House.

Malcolm uses an iPad daily with apps that support his numeracy and literacy skills. He also likes a game of ten pin bowling, which requires fine motor skills in order to make the ball spin enough to get a strike. The size and weight of iPads can be difficult for some clients physically to handle and interact with. A call went out for iPad stands and members of our community answered. Our Family and Friends group purchased 25 brand new stands which are providing ease of use and an accessible option for those who need it.

The support for this program did not stop there. Rucio Sosnowski, who has previously supported a wood work program, handmade a number of iPad stands from recycled wood. Thank you to Family and Friends and Rucio, for the generous support!
