Planning with Confidence: Expert guidance for families and carers

Bayley House Foundation Gifts in Wills

Planning for the future of a loved one with disability or other vulnerabilities can be complex and, at times, challenging. For many families, it raises important questions about care, security, decision-making and long-term arrangements. To help support those conversations, Bayley House Foundation is pleased to present a free information session for families and carers.

This special session will bring together three experienced professionals to share practical guidance across estate planning, financial considerations and trustee options.

Jennifer Jackson, Lawyer and Head of Estate Planning at Wills & Wealth, has been assisting clients for nearly two decades, with particular expertise in advising families of vulnerable beneficiaries.

Kathy Havers, Specialist Executive Advisor at Viridian Advisory, has been a strategic advisor for over 20 years, with expertise spanning family succession planning and advice to families with disability.

Pat Lyttleton, Director and Principal at Suzanne Lyttleton Lawyers, has more than a decade of experience with the firm and a particular focus on estate administration, estate litigation, trust administration and VCAT administration.

Together, the speakers will cover:

  • Estate planning for vulnerable beneficiaries
  • Financial considerations in providing for a vulnerable beneficiary
  • The trustee role and considerations when choosing an appropriate trustee

While every family’s situation is different, many share the same desire to make thoughtful decisions that will protect and support their loved-one into the future. Sessions like this can help make a difficult topic feel more approachable, giving families the opportunity to hear practical advice, build their understanding and consider options with greater confidence.

Families and carers are invited to attend, enjoy some afternoon tea and hear from three professionals who understand the importance of planning with care, clarity and compassion.
