Bayley Voice Group

The Bayley Voice Group serve as a platform to the wider Bayley House community, ensuring that all information is accessible and readily available.

The Bayley Voice Group works together on special projects including:

  • Increasing client voice
  • Feedback
  • Sharing ideas
  • Increasing the accessibility of information
  • Consumer Meetings for Clients

Meetings are held monthly. If you require any support or would like more client input to your particular projects, paperwork or any other area please reach out to us. We will share any information that is discussed at our Consumer Meetings so you are up to date with client ideas and questions.

Daniel Fatourous

Daniel is one of the newest members of the Bayley House community, starting with us in 2020. Daniel joined the Client Voice Group so that he could meet new people and work on his leadership skills.

Kim Sullivan

Kim is an incredibly long standing and well respected member of the Bayley House community who brings years of lived experience to the Bayley Voice Group.

Jacqui Shafar

Jacqui has been part of Bayley House for 13 years and joined the Client Voice Group as it was new and she thought it would be fun.

Lauren Smith

The thought of coming up with new ideas for Bayley House is what attracted Lauren to the Client Voice Group. She wants to contribute to change and make new friends along the way.

Nelson Neel-Hewitt

Nelson joined Bayley House in 2019 and settled in easily with the Bayley Voice Group.

Bar Levin

Bar has been at Bayley House for over 10 years and enjoys mixing with a wide variety of his peers. Bar joined the Client Voice Group because he wants to help be a voice for people who don’t speak with words.

Luke McCormack

Luke is known as the sportsman of Bayley House. An absolute one eyed St Kilda supporter, Luke attends every home game. He also attends the basketball and cricket. Luke leads the charge for footy day and an our annual cricket match. He will no doubt bring these leadership skills to the Bayley Voice.

Gavin Moore

Gavin is an brilliant artist who loves spending time at Bayley Arts developing his unique creative style. A long term member of the Bayley House community, Gavin is well known amongst his peers and loves sharing information. He will be a valuable edition to the group.

Matt Lloyd

Matt is very well known around Bayley House. He has a love of classical music and thinks Kath and Kim is the funniest show to have ever been on television. Matt is a quiet man who values his friends and brings his many years of experience at Bayley House to the group.

Bronwyn Phillips

Bronwyn is no stranger to stages, microphones or performing. She is a very talented singer with many wonderful connections through Bayley House and within the wider community. Bronwyn has a very thoughtful approach when sharing her views and is always very measured in her contributions to the group.

 

Board

Jeff May

Jeff joined the Board in November 2020 and has been a committee member since 2014. He has over 30 years’ experience as a tax advisor and commentator in strategically managing the tax affairs of many large and complex organisations that operate in a wide range of industry sectors in Australia and overseas. Jeff had previously been a Board member of the Bayley House Foundation and has a sister in law who is a long standing client at Bayley House.

Vicky McIver

Vicky joined the Bayley House Board in 2023. Vicky is a founding Director of Arrus Knoble (Aus), a boutique consulting practice. She has led performance improvement projects across many sectors including disability. Vicky has held board positions in the TAFE and community and social sectors and is regularly called on to advise boards on their strategic direction.

Vicky holds a BA with Honours in Political Studies and a Master of Management (Organisational Systems) from Monash University. Vicky is a Member of the AICD and is a qualified Mediator and member of the Resolution Institute. Vicky has a daughter who attends sessions at several disability support providers.

David Calver

David Calver is a step father to a Bayley House client and is a Bayley House volunteer. David has operated two companies for some 30 years and brings experience across building and construction management and quantity surveying, including administration and compliance.

David Cole

A member of various Bayley House committees since 2011, David was elected to the Board in November 2021. A retired architect, David was a design director of an international architectural practice for thirty years, delivering large scale commercial, civic and education projects throughout Australia, Asia, and the UAE. David brings design, management and corporate governance skills, together with education understanding, having previous teaching experience at both secondary and tertiary levels. His daughter is a client at Bayley House.

Tony Rutherford

Tony joined the Board in 2022. He is a highly regarded and trusted advisor who is a specialist in construction, operations, services and development documentation and dispute resolution for major infrastructure projects. Tony brings extensive experience to Bayley House through his work advising community housing providers, property funds and operators in relation to the development and operation of Specialist Disability Accommodation.

John Phillips

John joined the Board in July 2022, following a ten year appointment on the Board of an independent girls’ school. John is currently Director of Advancement at Brighton Grammar School, a school with which Bayley House has a very close association.

John brings particular expertise in business development, cross sector partnerships, community engagement and philanthropy. He has instigated and driven major fundraising campaigns and community initiatives and has a number of friends with family members as clients at Bayley House.

Sandra Beanham

Sandra Beanham was appointed to the Bayley House Board in November 2025.

Sandra is committed to supporting people with disability to achieve their full potential, particularly those with an intellectual disability. She has held senior roles with disability service organisations including Yooralla, Endeavour Foundation, and VMCH.

Sandra brings strong commercial expertise from senior leadership and consultancy roles through Sandra Beanham & Associates, as well as lived experience as the parent of a 33 year old daughter with a significant intellectual disability.

Deb Stuart

Chief Executive Officer

Deb Stuart joined Bayley House as Chief Executive Officer in October 2023. She brings extensive experience across the disability and community health sectors, most recently serving as Chief Executive Officer of Central Bayside Community Health Services.

Deb is a highly experienced health and human services leader with deep expertise in acute, sub acute, community based, and primary care services across all stages of life. She is known for building strong, collaborative relationships that deliver meaningful outcomes for individuals and communities.

Her leadership is grounded in values of justice, fairness, kindness, diversity, and inclusion, with a strong commitment to equitable access and sustained organisational improvement.

Greg Patterson

Chief Financial Officer

Greg is a Chartered Accountant with extensive experience leading Finance and Corporate Services teams in the health and community services sector, including disability. He is driven by strengthening the financial sustainability of community organisations and values the people, clients, and stakeholders who make the sector work.

Kim Gasperino

General Manager Marketing and Philanthropy

Kim is a marketing, partnerships, and philanthropy leader with experience across commercial and for purpose environments. She has led brand, communications, and donor stewardship initiatives to grow support and strengthen relationships, and is committed to advancing equity through clear, values aligned collaboration.

Andy Gabriel

General Manager Home and Living Support

Andy joined Bayley House in early 2021 and brings significant experience in accommodation and community living supports across disability and aged care. He is passionate about delivering high quality care that reflects the needs and expectations of the people supported.

Natarsha Warren

General Manager Day Programs

Natarsha has over 20 years experience in the disability sector, with expertise in program development, diversity, and inclusion. She holds qualifications in education, music, and disability and has worked across multiple areas of Bayley House.

She is passionate about person centred active support and ensuring the people supported experience an exceptional quality of life.

Penny Scott

General Manager Strategic Projects

Penny has worked in the disability sector for over 30 years across not for profit and local government organisations. She brings deep experience in program development, community partnerships, leadership, and person centred practice, and has held multiple senior roles at Bayley House.

Karen

Karen

Front Office Manager

Karen joined Bayley House in 2022 and shares the Front Office Manager role with Leonie. She has experience in Financial Services, the Fitness industry and Food distribution. Originally from the UK, Karen spent six years living in South Africa prior to moving to Australia in 2011. In her front office role, Karen supports the smooth running of Day Programs through a variety of administrative and logistical support. She loves the fast-paced, community-focused environment of Bayley House and that no two days are the same.

Senior Program Manager

Serena joined Bayley House in 2015 and immediately noticed the warmth of the culture and inclusiveness of clients and staff. She became a Team Leader in 2020 and has relished the opportunity to lead a staff group with development, training, and support. Serena is a member of the Client Voice Group and enjoys collaborating with clients and staff to discuss and implement new ideas within Day Programs.

Senior Program Manager Bayley Arts

Tessa has worked in the disability sector since 2006, with a background in Specialist Teaching and Dance Therapy, including six years in the UK. With graduate, postgraduate, and fellowship studies in Art, Creative Arts Therapies, and Teaching, she is deeply passionate about the arts and advocacy. Tessa actively supports the Bayley Voice Group and loves helping clients connect with their community. She thrives on collaboration—working with artists, her team, and community partners to create innovative opportunities for artists with disability.

Renae

Program Manager

Renae has worked in the disability sector since 2003 and began at Bayley House in 2019 as an instructor in Day Programs before moving into the role of Program Manager. Her previous experience was in supported employment services, known as Australian Disability Enterprise (ADE). Renae is passionate about helping clients achieve their goals and increase their independence. She has strong program planning skills which she uses to support clients in achieving their individual goals and aspirations, as shaped by their choice and control.

Program Manager Bayley Arts

With a Diploma in Fashion and Textile Design from RMIT, Annie first joined Bayley House as a volunteer in the art room and has now celebrated nine years with us. She has worked across many parts of the organisation but feels most at home in the art department. A career highlight has been helping bring the Bayley House cookbook to life, blending creativity with community. For Annie, the best part of the job is creating in a meaningful space alongside a fantastic team.

Program Manager

Laprini began at Bayley House in 1999 and has now become one of our Team Leaders. Initially working in Home and Living, she joined Day Programs as an instructor in 2004. Laprini assisted with developing and setting up the Transition group for young adults. This group supported younger clients to build skills in vocation areas and independence. Laprini is passionate about supporting Bayley House clients and staff families.

Caroline

Caroline

Program Manager

Caroline has been with Bayley House since October 2020. With over 30 years of experience in residential care, including respite, she brings extensive knowledge to her role. She holds a degree in Applied Science – Intellectual Disability Studies from Deakin University and pursued further studies in Pathology, Spanish, and Egyptian history. In 2023, Caroline was honoured with the Support Worker of the Year award. She enjoys the positive start to each day and the friendships and social connections she witnesses are truly magical.

Jolanda

Team Leader

Jolanda has been working in the disability field since 2003. She has a passion for developing creative arts programs for people with disability. Jolanda holds a degree in Law/Psychology and further qualifications in Disability and Transpersonal Art Therapy.

Kylie

Team Leader

Kylie has worked in the disability sector for over 25 years. She has a degree in Health Science and a previous career in nursing. Having a family member with disability, it was an organic decision to move into the disability sector. Completing a Certificate V in Disability, Kylie now focuses on supporting people with disability to live healthy lives through engaging programs that enable healthier lifestyle choices.

Kathryn

Team Leader

Kathryn began at Bayley House in 2015 in our creative arts area. She has been involved in retail art programs, supporting clients to make products such as candles, bracelets, and necklaces. Kathryn also contributed to the healthy lunch initiative, helping clients develop skills in order fulfilment, meal preparation, and food delivery.

Jacqueline

Bayley Arts Practice Team Leader

Jacqueline has been with Bayley since 2010. She holds a Master’s degree in Creative Arts Therapy, which she uses to foster meaningful connections and facilitate engaging creative projects. Jacqueline values the relationships she has built with people here and thrives in the collaborative and creative environment, enhancing personal development and well-being through artistic expression.

Zoe

Bayley Arts Team Leader

Zoe has been a valued member of the disability sector since 2018. She holds a degree in Multimedia Design and diplomas in Project Management, Counselling, and Community Services. Zoe’s personal experience with the NDIS as a parent enhances her professional perspective. She has freelanced internationally and now shares her creative vision with clients, emphasising fun, personal development, and advocacy for all.

John

John

Team Leader

John joined Bayley House in 2021 after a successful career in film post-production, working on over 20 feature films including Babe, Little Women, and Rabbit-Proof Fence. He was awarded the Centenary Medal in 2001. A midlife career pivot during COVID led John to complete a Certificate IV in Disability. Now leading the Bayley Arts Film Studio, he supports people with disability to create original films, including one recently shortlisted in the Focus on Ability International Film Festival.

Dana

Team Leader

Dana has been with Bayley House since 2018 and holds a Certificate IV in Disability. Her passion for helping others began at a young age. Transitioning from hairdressing to the disability field, Dana has found her true calling. She loves working at Bayley House because of the people they support and the amazing team she works with. She primarily works within the high support area, which she thoroughly enjoys.

Anna

Anna

Service Delivery Manager, Home & Living

Anna has over 30 years of experience in the disability sector. She joined Bayley House in 2007 and has consistently demonstrated strong leadership in guiding highly motivated teams within Home and Living services.

She brings extensive knowledge across multiple areas of Home & Living.

Cassandra

Care and Safeguarding Lead

Cassandra brings a strong clinical background to Bayley House, with a Bachelor of Health Science in Paramedicine and extensive experience across frontline and leadership roles. She began her career with Ambulance Victoria before working in disability services in London, later moving into a Clinical Support Lead role overseeing multidisciplinary healthcare teams. After returning to Melbourne with her young family, she joined Bayley House in 2025 and is responsible for care quality and safeguarding for the people we support across Home and Living.

Michael

STR Team Leader

Michael loves working at Bayley House and is passionate about supporting people with disability to build life skills and achieve their goals. He believe every person has the capacity to grow and evolve, and is inspired by leading a strong, empathetic team that delivers high quality care and support. With a background in psychology, studied in Manchester in the UK, he bring a deep understanding of human behaviour that helps guide thoughtful, individualised support. Outside of work, he enjoy pilates, yoga, mindfulness, meditation and spending time in nature.

Ciara

Ciara brings a strong background in social studies and disability support to Bayley House, where she has worked for the past three years. She holds a BA Hons in Applied Social Studies from Cork, Ireland, and has experience across disability outreach, in home and residential support, day services, the homeless sector and mental health. With a strong interest in wellbeing and mental health, Ciara is also a qualified yoga instructor. She is passionate about supporting the people we support to build independence, recognise everyday achievements and work towards their goals.

Manhivi has worked in the disability sector since 2008 and joined Bayley House in 2010 as a Support Worker. In 2015, he became Team Leader at Blackwood, implementing person centred active support for meaningful client outcomes.

Raman brings extensive experience in disability support and is committed to creating a safe, supportive, and empowering environment for clients and families. He joined Bayley House in 2021 and now leads the Leonard House team.

Shannon joined Bayley House in 2020 and leads the Earlsfield House team, focusing on active support and NDIS compliance. She holds a Bachelor of Social Studies and is dedicated to delivering high quality care.

Emma joined Bayley House in 2019 and now leads Lubrano House. She holds an Honours Degree in Family Support & Youth Work and a Diploma in Applied Social Studies, supporting residents to live independently and safely.

A Foundation member and board chair since 2018, Damian is an experienced Managing Director, combining his vast expertise in the property sector with his personal connection to our organisation, where he has a sibling. His extensive experience across a broad range of industries in both commercial and government provides strong governance and strategic thinking to the Foundation. Damian’s commitment, reflecting both his professional acumen and familial tie, embodies his passion for securing Bayley House’s financial future.

Eli’s personal connection to Bayley House, drawn from his sibling’s past experience with the organisation, fuels his passion for supporting people with intellectual disability. Joining the Foundation in 2019, Eli’s background in commercial banking provides key financial management skills and market insights, vital for effectively supporting Bayley House’s ancillary fund. His personal perspective and professional expertise offer meaningful support for the Foundation. Eli also brings a strong network of supportive businesses and individuals who continue to support Bayley House and its Foundation.
