Harvey Norman Commercial and Bayley House: Keeping Connections Alive Through Generosity

Around Bayley Fundraising In the Community

At Bayley House, community connections often span generations and a wonderful example of this is the ongoing support we receive from Glenda Bailey and her team at Harvey Norman Commercial.

For Glenda, her support is deeply personal. Her mother once volunteered at Bayley House, creating memories and friendships that have stayed with her family.

Through generous in-kind donations of white goods, Glenda and her business have made a lasting difference. From fridges and dishwashers to washing machines and dryers, these items play a vital role in keeping our programs running smoothly and efficiently.

In our Cooking Program, for instance, clients love using the donated appliances as part of their learning experience. Francisco, a staff member, especially enjoys operating the industrial dishwasher at the end of each session, taking great pride in keeping everything spotless and ready for the next group. “It’s easy to use and makes the kitchen run really well,” he says.

Glenda’s commitment to Bayley House is also a wonderful example of how local businesses can make a tangible impact, not just through donations but through genuine connection and community spirit. Her continued support reflects the strong relationships that make Bayley House such a great place, where clients, families, volunteers and partners all play a part in helping the people we support to thrive.

We are so grateful for Glenda’s ongoing generosity and the meaningful partnership with Harvey Norman Commercial.

There are so many ways to get involved, from volunteering time and skills to providing goods or professional expertise. Every act of support helps us build a stronger, more inclusive community together.
