CEO Update 19 July

CEO updates

Thanks everyone for being so responsive and flexible with the urgently rearranged activities following the lockdown announcement by the Premier last Thursday afternoon. It says much about our collective experience here in Melbourne that we can swing into action for a lockdown almost as if it is business as usual; a teensy bit scary really! Thanks to our clients and families and also a huge call out to the amazing team here at Bayley House who, without complaint and without notice, shifted gear to get back to online activities and bolstering support across our residential services. As in earlier lockdowns, we have moved quickly to ensure that we can continue to offer Day Programs within our own houses with our Day Program staff; (and thank goodness we did given that it appears the lockdown will be extended). Feedback from clients and families has been incredibly positive for this in the past so we know how valuable it is. Please be aware that, as on other occasions, clients may be charged at a smaller ratio at home than they normally would at Middle Crescent. If you are concerned about how this may impact your funding, you may wish to discuss it with your Support Coordinator if you have one.

Anthony Di Battista – GM People, Culture and Quality

As the list of public exposure sites on the DHHS website increases, it is critical that if any clients or close family members have been at a listed site that we are notified immediately. We manage this information confidentially of course, but require it for our own internal contact tracing purposes in the event of an exposure or close contact.

I hope you are faring as well as can be expected. Please ensure that you contact one of the team at Bayley House if you are struggling, uncertain about what is happening or need support in any way.

By way of welcome I would like to introduce you to Anthony Di Battista who joins Bayley House today as General Manager, People, Culture & Quality. Anthony has extensive experience in the commercial and not-for-profit sectors and is excited to join the Bayley House family in this important role. Anthony has a strong commitment to Leadership Development, Learning & Performance Culture and to Employee Engagement which is driven by a commitment to meaningful and sustainable client outcomes. We are very much looking forward to getting to know Anthony and welcoming all that he has to offer to our workforce.

Stay Safe and Well.
