“I do lots of great things at Bayley House: public speaking in our Ambassadors program, fashion and textiles, drama, retail art, yoga and Workplace Training at the Childcare Centre in Brighton Recreation Centre.”
GEORGINA, BAYLEY HOUSE PARTICIPANT FOR 14 YEARS
Georgina lives with her good friend and housemate Katie in a supported home. She is a keen cook at home, likes watching MasterChef and has excelled at various cooking programs at Bayley House.
Each weekday Georgina is involved in a wide variety of sports, enterprises and activities at Bayley House. With a great eye for style and colours, Georgina is a key member of our retail art team. Georgina designs and makes fashion pieces and hand-sews beautiful gifts that she also helps to sell at various markets.
In Bayley’s Workplace Training program, Georgina has been very involved at Brighton Rec and Bambini Childcare, where she relishes reading to the children and playing with them. Georgina plans to continue in childcare as she enjoys the children’s energy and curiosity. Georgina is a top goal shooter on the Bayley Bullets basketball team, and as part of our Ambassadors program, she skilfully advocates for people with different abilities.
