CEO announcement from Bayley House Chair, John Ashby

Around Bayley

Bayley House CEO, Warwick Cavanagh, earlier this year confirmed his decision to retire in October. The Board subsequently appointed Brooker Consulting to conduct a wide-ranging search for the next Bayley House CEO. Brooker liaised extensively across the disability sector as well as more broadly and brought a number of excellent candidates to the Board for consideration.

I am delighted to confirm that, following a rigorous process, Deb Stuart has accepted the Board’s invitation to join Bayley House as CEO, commencing in mid-October. Deb has extensive experience in the disability and community health sectors, most recently leading Central Bayside Community Health Services as CEO.

I know that Deb is thrilled and excited to be joining the Bayley House family. The Board looks forward to working with her, continuing to deliver great services for people with intellectual disability and delivering on the Bayley House Strategic Plan.

Warwick and the Board will liaise with Deb in coming weeks to develop an appropriate transition process which will ensure the continued smooth operation of all services and to provide an opportunity for Deb to meet with many Bayley House stakeholders. The Board is delighted that Deb is joining us and looks forward to the experience, skill and enthusiasm which she will bring to Bayley House.
