Artist Bio

This year Savannah, Holli and Whitney were introduced to the textiles artwork of artist Sharon Cooper Murray. Working with textiles and knotting lent itself to collaboration and a social art making experience. Each artist worked independently at times on the piece to build texture and colour by adding their own sections, but were also aware that other hands had contributed to make the whole. This piece was able to be developed by the three artists through out this year’s ever changing working circumstances and built to become a colourful and textured work that tied together the three artists aesthetic choice making and weaving of materials.
