Nicola is very passionate about painting. She enjoys the selection and use of colour and takes a lot of pride from completing work to her satisfaction. Nicola also enjoys the social elements of art making and is often inspired by and enjoys working with other artists and peers in a collaborative and socially oriented art studio setting.

Artist Bio
Nicola drew inspiration for her Sunflower artwork from a David Hockney painting but also used the sunflowers in the artroom to match colours and shape. She chose to add squares of fabric to the painting, her ‘own special touch’, as she felt the painting needed an extra layer of interest and texture.
