Artist Bio

This year Rosie was particularly drawn to the art work and story of Jean-Michel Basquiat. Rosie worked with a combination of bold flat plains of acrylic paint and free and abandoned use of aerosol paints. Rosie is a very skilled painter and is has a meticulous eye for detail. She expressed a real enjoyment in being able to let go with the contrasting and very free marks she made using the aerosol. When describing the creation of this painting Rosie said: “It was fun doing a large canvas – it is the biggest one I have ever done! I enjoyed doing the spray paint and liked the crazy effect.”
