Volunteer at Bayley
Life at Bayley House is so much richer, thanks to the contributions of over 60 dedicated volunteers who offer their valuable time and expertise.
Our volunteers assist in art activities, support our participants in achieving their goals, accompany individuals on outings, serve on committees, aid our fundraising efforts and much, much more.
Over the years, groups of volunteers have made Bayley House what it is today. The Bayley Birds, originating in 1974 have raised over $500,000 through their fundraising activities while Family & Friends have supported the Bayley House community through fundraising activities since 1952. Residential raisers have also raised over $250,000 – wonderful support.
There’s always room for more volunteers at Bayley House, so to join the buzz and be part of our rewarding Bayside community, call 03 9982 1500 or email contactus@bayleyhouse.org.au
Volunteer Testimonials
“The joy in their eyes and smile on their face is what motivates me.”
Mary, Art Volunteer
“I thoroughly enjoy my time spent volunteering at Bayley House. Whenever I arrive I am greeted with a multitude of smiles or high fives from the clients and they are a joy to work with.
Over the years I have shared so much with the clients and at the end of my time with them I leave feeling happy and contented. The staff are inspirational and truly appreciate my efforts as much as the clients. We have lots of laughs and a feeling of friendship permeates our time together. I am so lucky and privileged to volunteer as I receive so much more back than I give. I always look forward to being a part of the wonderful atmosphere at Bayley House.”

GIVING DAY – 12 HOUR CAMPAIGN – ART FOR ALL APPEAL

Call for Volunteers

Our Annual Giving Day will be held on Tuesday 22 June and we would love you to be involved. We are seeking individuals who can assist us as telethon volunteers – you will play a crucial role in helping us raise funds for our new Arts Hub.

Personally connecting with our supporters by phone on the day is essential in helping us reach our fundraising target. Volunteers who have helped out in previous years had a lot of fun and really enjoyed seeing the tally grow by the minute! We will provide you with a full briefing, snacks, and lots of encouragement!

Telethon information:

  • The telethon will be on Tuesday 22 June from 9am until 8pm
  • The telethon will be held at our Corporate Centre located at 928 Nepean Highway, Hampton East using our office phones
  • Each session is 2 hours (with a 3 hour final push for the last shift!)
  • Session times:
  • 8:45am to 11:00am
  • 11:45am to 1:00pm
  • 12:45pm to 3:00pm
  • 2:45pm to 5:00pm
  • 4:45pm to 8:00pm (if you’re interested in this shift, but can only give 2 hours, that’s no problem!)
  • Briefing session – 15 minutes prior to session start time
  • Phone scripts and printed call sheets will be provided and staff will be on hand to help throughout
  • Refreshments and snacks will be provided throughout the day and lunch will be offered from 12.30pm-2pm

If you’re available to help out, please email your preferred session time directly to Angela Kougioumtzis, akougi@bayleyhouse.org.au by Friday 11 June. Please feel free to bring a friend!

We hope you can be a part of this great day and play a very special role in fundraising for our Arts Hub. You can find out more about the appeal here.
