Community Support from Coles

Fundraising In the Community

Coles in Bay Street, Brighton have been supporters of Bayley House for quite a long time now.

The store is very supportive of Bayley House, taking part in our Community Engagement program, with Bayley House clients learning the skills of customer service within a fast paced supermarket environment. The store also  fundraises on our behalf through donation tins at the check outs and team members from the store will quite often volunteer at our events. There have even been times on hot days when donations of bulk lots of water and icy poles have delivered to help keep everyone cool!

At a recent morning tea, new store manager, Mona and team member Mary, presented Bayley House with a cheque for over $4000. This amount was the culmination of multiple fundraising efforts, you may have seen stalls in the store with items for sale that have been made within Bayley House art programs.

The store has recently launched their latest fundraising venture for Bayley House – Sunday Sausage Sizzles! These take place every second Sunday with the next one happening this weekend, Sunday 3 July with all sales going directly to Bayley House fundraising efforts.

A huge thank you to Coles Bay Street for their continued support. It means so much to all of us to have such strong relationships with local community organisations and to see so many people passionate about showing their support.

So pop on down Sunday between 11am and 2.30pm to get a sausage in bread and support Bayley House.
