Respite Services
Each year our Respite Service offers high quality short term accommodation for more than 100 individuals from Bayley House and the Southern Metropolitan area.
Respite gives both the carers and our people the opportunity to have a break from their normal routine. Family and carers can take time out from the on-going responsibilities of caring for a person with an intellectual disability and recharge their batteries. Our people also benefit as respite provides the opportunity to develop new friends, enjoy different experiences and adjust to other environments.
Our Respite Service caters for a variety of needs. Some stay a few nights, others a few weeks. On occasions we may provide longer term support to those who have no other alternative.
Up to six people can be accommodated each night and our staff members work very hard to make sure that respite is an enjoyable experience.
