New CEO commences

Newly appointed CEO, Ms Janet Batey commenced at Bayley House on 19 January and has hit the ground running meeting clients, board members, staff and other members of the Bayley House community.
Janet comes to Bayley House from Merrimu Services Inc where she was CEO for 12 years. Merrimu provides day activities for adults living with a disability in the Bacchus Marsh and Melton areas. She has a range of qualifications including various Certificates in Special Teacher Training, an Associate Diploma in Social Science (Day and Residential Management) and a Masters Degree in Health Science (Disabilty).
Janet brings a wide range of experience to Bayley House having worked in Day Training Centres in Terang and Geelong, a Remedial Teaching Unit in Shepparton, Occupational Therapy department at Goulburn Valley Base Hospital and over 10 years at the GV Centre, a service similar to Bayley House before taking up her role at Merrimu.
Having worked in the area for many years, Janet has a passion for working with for adults living with a disability to ensure that they are offered as many opportunities as possible to fullfil their potential. She is looking forward to working with everyone at Bayley House to take the organisation to the next level and cement our reputation as one of the leading service providers for adults with living with an intellectual disability in Victoria.
