'Lady' visits Bayley House
6th of November 2008
Everyone at Bayley House is hoping that ‘Lady Luck’ will be with them when Gardenvale Tote starts her racing career in early November. An 18 month old greyhound, Gardenvale Tote or ‘Lady’ as she is affectionately known, visited Bayley House on Friday 24 October to meet a very special group of supporters and ‘kick start’ her campaign.
‘Lady’ is being managed by Les Radford from the Gardenvale TAB and will be raced in support of Bayley House. She was selected earlier this year by several people from Bayley House and commenced training under the guidance of Yvonne Andrews. Now ready to race, ‘Lady’ has big expectations on her broad shoulders as any winnings she earns will be donated to Bayley House. Her visit to Bayley House on Friday gave everyone the chance to wish her well and give her incentive to run as fast as she can.
Les and the patrons of Gardenvale TAB are regular supporters of Bayley House. Many have become members of the Gardenvale Tote Supporter’s Club by donating $100 to Bayley House and will joined clients from Bayley House to cheer her to victory at each of her races. “I’m really excited about this venture” says Les Radford. “My customers are 100% behind the Supporters Club and we are looking forward seeing our greyhound race and raise awareness and raise funds for Bayley House.“
Bayley House CEO Peter Lee agrees. “Our people love going to the greyhound racing. Having our own greyhound to follow will be a fabulous experience and promises many fun social occasions in the future. It is great to have a partnership such as this and win, lose or draw we’ll be there with Les and the Supporter’s Club cheering our ‘Lady’ to victory.”
