Bayley Olympics
20th of August 2008
More than 60 people from Bayley House participated in the 2008 Bayley Olympics on August 8 2008.
50m sprints, wheel chair dashes events, tunnel ball races and the egg and spoon relay……it didn’t matter what the event, the pace was fast and furious. Individuals and teams were pegged one against the other, all in the name of good sportsmanship and having fun.
“Events such as the Bayley Olympics capture the true spirit of the Olympics; taking part and giving it your best shot.” said Peter Lee, CEO. “Win, lose or draw, it is all about people achieving the best they can.”
The exhilaration of competition, perseverance and determination from competitors, the excitement of sport and the spirit of the Bayley community were all captured by the Bayley Olympics. Everyone was a winner irrespective of whether they were a competitor or spectator.
